According to Gwangju Metropolitan City on the 16th, a man in his 50s, Mr. A, residing in Maegok-dong, Buk-gu, was diagnosed with COVID-19 the day before and classified as the 484th confirmed case.
Mr. A was identified as a contact of the previously confirmed 483rd case.
The infection route of the 483rd confirmed case is currently under investigation.
In the Gwangju area, 103 people are currently undergoing treatment, 378 have recovered and been discharged, and 3 have died.
A total of 143,475 people have been tested, with 142,497 testing negative and 494 tests still in progress.
