Smart Remote Work... 'Home Office' on the Rise
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] As the number of 'homebodies' has increased due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) situation, demand for home interior and remodeling has risen. In particular, with the strengthening of social distancing and the increase of flexible work systems and telecommuting, consumers are investing more in home office interiors that allow them to focus on work even inside their homes.
This trend is reflected in the increased sales of related products such as desks, chairs, and storage boxes. According to recent data from Statistics Korea, the quarterly average growth rate of the domestic furniture industry reached 11.8% and 27.8% in the first and second quarters of this year, respectively. This is a remarkable growth compared to the quarterly average growth rate of about 4.9% from 2015 to 2019.
On the 12th, according to Chinchindi CM Group, which provides one-stop real estate development management services, Yoon Nagyeom, a tax accountant and representative of 'JeolseTV,' which delivers real estate, tax knowledge, and tax-saving know-how to the public, arranged the living room space as a 'home office' in line with this lifestyle trend.
The home office is a study and book caf? concept workspace, and the open living room space combined with fresh plant interior arrangements has the effect of relieving work stress.
