Ulsan City, September Regular Property Tax 186.6 Billion Won... Nam-gu Highest at 60.9 Billion Won
Payment from September 16 to October 5... Available via mobile including Kakao and Naver Pay
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Ulsan City imposed 186.6 billion KRW in property tax on 340,000 cases for the regular September 2020 billing.
The September regular property tax imposed this time targets houses (1/2) and land, and is levied on owners of houses and land as of June 1.
However, homeowners with an annual property tax amount of 200,000 KRW or less were charged the full amount in July, so no tax is imposed in September.
This year’s September regular property tax increased by 6.1 billion KRW compared to 180.5 billion KRW last year. The main factors for the increase are analyzed as a 0.19% rise in individual house prices and a 2.36% rise in individual publicly announced land prices.
Looking at the imposition status by district and county, Nam-gu had the highest amount. Nam-gu 60.9 billion KRW, Jung-gu 20.8 billion KRW, Dong-gu 13.8 billion KRW, Buk-gu 34.6 billion KRW, and Ulju-gun 56.5 billion KRW.
Property tax payment is from September 16 to October 5, the day after the Chuseok holiday. Payment methods include direct payment at all financial institutions, using ATMs, virtual accounts, or through the Wetax and Giro websites.
By downloading the ‘Smart Wetax’ app on a smartphone and applying for local tax payment services, payments can be easily made via account transfer, card payment, and platforms such as KakaoPay, Naver Pay, and Payco. Mobile payment has become more convenient with features like checking billing details through the local tax calendar.
