Seogwipo Coast Guard, Emergency Transfer of Patient with Cerebral Hemorrhage
[Jeju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Hwang Jeongpil] Seogwipo Maritime Police Station (Chief Do Gibum) announced that at around 12:54 AM on the 10th, they urgently transported an emergency patient, crew member B (48 years old), from fishing vessel A (29t, registered in Hallim) operating 100km south of Seogwipo.
According to Seogwipo Maritime Police, fishing vessel A reported that crew member B suddenly lost consciousness and collapsed at around 8:15 PM on the 9th, requesting rescue from the maritime police.
In response, Seogwipo Maritime Police immediately dispatched a patrol ship, transferred the emergency patient crew member B onto the patrol ship around 9 PM on the 9th, provided emergency treatment, and urgently transported him to Seogwipo Port, where he was handed over to 119 emergency services waiting at around 12:54 AM on the 10th.
