Yeongdeungpo-gu Hosts Online Startup Festival
Consulting with Experts in Each Field, Opportunity to Strengthen Startup Capabilities through Genuine Growth Stories... Y-VS and Yeonggune YouTube Channel Provide Real-Time Streaming and Recorded Broadcasts
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Yeongdeungpo-gu (Mayor Chae Hyun-il) is hosting the ‘Yeongdeungpo Youth Startup Online Festival’ until the 25th to help strengthen the entrepreneurial capabilities of young people and spread the startup culture within the region.
This online festival is part of the ‘2020 Yeongdeungpo Youth Startup Ecosystem Development Project (Y-VS)’ program, designed to provide customized support content to young people aspiring to start a business, with the aim of enhancing their spirit of challenge and entrepreneurship.
All programs are conducted online in a non-face-to-face manner to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and can be viewed through the official Youth Startup Online Festival website.
On the official website, from September 1, the ‘CEO Type Test’ to discover your own entrepreneurial strengths and the ‘Support Comment Event’ where participants can leave encouraging messages and pledges from prospective entrepreneurs are being held.
Participants in the event have a chance to win generous prizes such as Outback gift certificates through a lottery. Winners will be announced on October 5 via the festival website.
Additionally, the ‘Corporate Art Gallery’ corner introduces six companies selected through a prior contest, exhibiting artworks illustrating their business items and visions.
Furthermore, visitors can enjoy the ‘Startup Information Card News,’ which contains comprehensive business information ranging from basic startup knowledge to useful business manners.
From September 21 to 25, the festival enters ‘Video Week,’ providing vivid startup information through YouTube live streaming and recorded broadcasts.
On the 21st, 23rd, and 25th at 3 PM, the ‘Startup Coin Consulting Room’ will be held in three parts with startup marketing expert mentor Namgyu Jo, business plan and branding expert mentor Daewoong Seo, and startup funding expert mentor Suhwan Kim, respectively.
On the 22nd and 24th at 3 PM, ‘Startup Restaurants’ Parts 1 and 2 will feature candid startup stories from three young entrepreneurs based in Yeongdeungpo. On the 25th at 6 PM, the ‘Startup Talk Concert’ will be held with CEO Jiwung Lee of Updream Korea, who achieved a cumulative crowdfunding amount of 1.5 billion KRW, and CEO Dahye Shin of Fill the Fill, who created a donation record of 30 million KRW with about 5,000 people over three years, sharing their growth stories.
All videos will be broadcast live on the festival website, and for prospective entrepreneurs who miss the live broadcasts, recorded videos can be viewed anytime on the festival website and Yeongdeungpo-gu Office’s official YouTube channel, Yeonggune.
Additionally, on the 21st, a movie review of ‘Jobs’ with the 870,000-subscriber YouTuber Dreamteller will be provided. On the 22nd and 24th, ‘Yeongdeungpo Startup Navigator’ Parts 1 and 2, hosted by Yeongdeungpo-gu ambassador Hyukpil Im, will be available. On the 23rd and 25th, ‘MacHyung TV - Dangsan Alley Restaurant’ Parts 1 and 2, which visits Dangsan-dong alley restaurants in need of change to provide sales skills, will be offered as recorded broadcasts through the festival website and the Yeonggune YouTube channel.
