[Breaking] 80-Year-Old Woman Dies in Busan, Later Confirmed Positive for COVID-19

On the 1st, around 11:50 PM, an elderly woman in her 80s, Ms. A, lost consciousness due to heart disease at an apartment in Cheolma-myeon, Gijang-gun. She was transported to the hospital by a 119 ambulance but passed away at 12:26 AM on the 2nd.
According to Busan police on the 2nd, Ms. A tested positive for COVID-19 after a postmortem specimen test.
During the investigation, the police were notified that one family member of the deceased Ms. A was subject to quarantine and testing. As a result of the COVID-19 test requested, the family member was confirmed positive that morning.
Police officers and detectives who responded to the scene, along with 21 close and indirect contacts, are currently isolated in temporary quarantine locations or under self-quarantine, and COVID-19 testing will be conducted on them.
