Kyungbok University Establishes 'Unmanned Store Management System' at Practice Center
[Asia Economy (Namyangju) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Kyungbok University has established an advanced unmanned store management system equipped with artificial intelligence (AI) and facial recognition functions at its on-campus practice center.
Kyungbok University announced on the 1st that as part of the 2019-2020 Social Customized Industry-Academic Cooperation Leading College Development Project (LINC+ Project), it built an advanced practice center called 'Retail Platform 4.0' at the Data Business Convergence Center.
Retail Platform 4.0 is an advanced unmanned store management system equipped with various functions such as artificial intelligence, facial recognition, sensors, and 3D inventory search. This system has not yet been introduced to the domestic distribution industry.
The main practice equipment includes ▲Spider-GO (unmanned store management system) ▲FX Mirror (virtual fitting solution) ▲RFID-SYSTEM (electronic tag system), among others.
In particular, Spider-GO (unmanned store management system) allows for setting the travel route through smartphone operation during the initial one-time route setting, then automatically drives the route at the set cycle, accurately setting horizontal and vertical travel distances. It performs RFID scan selection, and can collectively collect and utilize inventory display information, quantity, out-of-stock status, and price tag information.
