Gwangyang City Establishes Comprehensive Promotion Plan for Gwangyang-style Korean New Deal
105 Projects in 3 Sectors with 306.5 Billion KRW Invested to Discover Sustainable New Growth Engines
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Gwangyang City announced on the 1st that it has established a comprehensive Gwangyang-type New Deal plan worth 306.5 billion KRW, consisting of 105 projects in 3 sectors that align with the government's Korean New Deal comprehensive plan and detailed implementation strategies as well as the city's current situation.
Among the projects, the Digital New Deal sector includes 49 projects worth 109.9 billion KRW, such as ▲expansion of smart factory distribution ▲construction of automated container terminals ▲establishment of early disaster warning systems in disaster-prone areas.
The Green New Deal sector includes 40 projects worth 182.7 billion KRW, such as ▲promotion of hydrogen charging station installation (attraction) projects ▲establishment of an eco-friendly marine port cluster base ▲green remodeling projects for national and public daycare centers.
The Safety Net Enhancement sector includes 16 projects worth 14 billion KRW, such as ▲operation of regional ICT Innovation Square ▲construction of non-face-to-face employment and startup information system kiosks ▲promotion of digital capacity building projects for general rural agricultural and fishery development.
The city plans to separately report on the ‘Gwangyang-type New Deal projects’ during the major business promotion plan report for next year from the 2nd to the 4th, actively respond to securing dependent resources such as next year’s main budget reflection, national and provincial subsidies, and public contest projects, and steadily promote the Gwangyang-type New Deal projects while continuously discovering additional projects.
