Installation of Facial Recognition Temperature Measurement Cameras at All Community Service Centers in Guro-gu
16 Dong Resident Centers, 7 Community Centers, Total 23 Entrances... Contactless Temperature Checks
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Guro-gu (Mayor Lee Seong) has installed 'facial recognition temperature measurement cameras' at all community service centers in the district.
On the 31st, Guro-gu announced, "To strengthen quarantine management of government buildings amid the spread of COVID-19, we have installed and activated 'facial recognition temperature measurement cameras' at the entrances of community service centers."
The cameras were installed at a total of 23 locations, including 16 community service centers and 7 autonomous community centers that use separate entrances from the community service centers.
The 'facial recognition temperature measurement camera' is a device that measures body temperature without physical contact through a temperature detection panel and artificial intelligence facial recognition system, and also checks whether a mask is worn.
When a visitor stands 1 meter in front of the facial recognition temperature measurement camera, it immediately classifies them into three categories: normal, abnormal (37.5 degrees Celsius or higher), and no mask worn (including 'tukseukeu' [mask worn under the chin]). For abnormal temperature or no mask, access is controlled through voice warnings ("Abnormal temperature detected," "No mask detected").
Additionally, it automatically records visit logs to quickly identify the number of people entering during the time a confirmed case visited.
