Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy Selected for 'Beautiful Street Creation Project' Contest... 2 Billion Won to be Invested by Next Year

According to Jeollanam-do on the 30th, Yeosu National Industrial Complex was finally selected in the 'Vibrant and Beautiful Street Creation Project' contest hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy on the 28th.
The 'Vibrant and Beautiful Street Creation Project' is a project that applies specialized design to aging and desolate industrial complexes and improves worker convenience and the image of the industrial complex by creating parks and green spaces.
With this selection, a total of 2 billion KRW (1 billion KRW from the national government and 1 billion KRW from local government) will be invested by next year to develop a 400m section of the industrial complex entrance road into a design-specialized street, including the installation of a welcome sculpture, street structures symbolizing the chemical industrial complex, rest areas, and green spaces.
Ahn Sanghyun, Director of the Economic Energy Bureau of Jeollanam-do, said, "Once the entrance road to Yeosu National Industrial Complex is developed into a beautiful street, it will provide attractions during the day as well as complement the Yeosu National Industrial Complex night tour, which has received positive responses from tourists. We will promptly complete the detailed design and begin construction within this year."
