At a time when the number of self-quarantined individuals is rapidly increasing, the city believes that managing these individuals will be a key factor in preventing the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
According to the city on the 30th, the number of self-quarantined individuals in the region surged from 726 on the 6th of this month to 1,727 on the 27th.
In response to the increase in self-quarantined individuals, the city plans to increase unannounced inspections conducted jointly by the city, district offices, and police from once a week to twice a week. Those who violate self-quarantine rules, such as unauthorized departure, will be reported to judicial authorities under a zero-tolerance policy.
Currently, 1,515 public officials dedicated to monitoring self-quarantined individuals check their health status remotely and verify whether they leave their quarantine space through visits made to support their daily necessities.
Additionally, autonomous districts use a Geographic Information System (GIS)-based integrated situation management system to continuously monitor the location of self-quarantined individuals and track any unauthorized departures.
