Krafton Makes Strategic Investment in Drama Production Company 'Hidden Sequence'
"Expanding Game IP into Various Contents Including Dramas"
[Asia Economy Reporter Jin-gyu Lee] Krafton announced on the 26th that it has made a strategic investment in the drama production company Hidden Sequence.
Through this investment, Krafton became the second largest shareholder following CEO Jae-moon Lee, the founder and largest shareholder. Hidden Sequence is a company established in 2016 by CEO Lee, who served as a PD for dramas such as "Misaeng" and "Signal."
This investment is part of Krafton's strategy to expand its intellectual property (IP) business. Krafton plans to produce video content such as dramas and movies using its game IPs like "PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds," and to discover original IPs for game production.

Chang-han Kim, CEO of Krafton, said, "This is part of our efforts to expand game IPs with growth potential into various content formats such as esports, dramas, movies, and webtoons, and to secure original IPs that can be gamified. We plan to actively strengthen investments in IP franchises."
