Areumin Excellent Donors and Volunteers Receive Discounts and Interest-Free Installment Benefits
[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] Shinhan Card announced on the 26th that, as part of its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) management, it will select customers who enhance social value through volunteer activities and donations as outstanding customers and provide them with VIP benefits.
Shinhan Card decided to grant the best grade of the ‘Tops Club’ to customers who have consistently donated through the donation platform ‘Areumin (人)’ or have actively participated in the ‘Areumin Customer Volunteer Group’ activities. Shinhan Card plans to finalize the eligible customers and implement this from October.
Best members will receive various benefits such as 2-3 months interest-free installments at all affiliated stores up to a limit of 2 million KRW, premium coupons for affiliated stores nationwide every month, and exemption from card usage alert fees.
Shinhan Card Tops Club is an excellent customer benefit program of Shinhan Financial Group, divided into four levels: Premier, Ace, Best, and Classic, offering various discounts, interest-free installments, and preferential treatment at Shinhan Financial Group affiliates.
Customers with particularly outstanding records of donation and volunteer participation will be selected annually as members of the ‘Shinhan Card Areumin Honors Club,’ receiving appreciation plaques and invitations to various events hosted by Shinhan Card, thereby promoting a desirable donation culture.
Areumin by Shinhan Card is the first social contribution donation platform in the financial sector, operated since 2004. To date, 339,000 customers have donated a total of 5.64 billion KRW through card payments or point payments. The ‘Areumin Customer Volunteer Group,’ started in 2007, is a social contribution program where Shinhan Card customers and their families can participate to help neighbors in need.
Shinhan Card is actively carrying out differentiated and systematic social contributions based on the ESG strategy emphasized by Shinhan Financial Group.
