Taeyoung Construction Reports 1 COVID-19 Case... "No Transmission to Family or Employees"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Onyu] A mid-sized construction company, Taeyoung Construction, has reported a confirmed case of COVID-19.
According to the construction industry and Taeyoung Construction on the 25th, the employee went on a business trip to Busan last week, developed a mild fever, underwent a COVID-19 test in Busan, and was confirmed positive on the 23rd.
Taeyoung Construction conducted disinfection of the entire headquarters building located in Yeouido-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, over the past weekend. Additionally, 105 employees working on the same floor as the confirmed employee were instructed to get tested for COVID-19. They have been working from home since the day before.
There was no temporary closure of the entire building. Employees working on other floors at Taeyoung Construction are commuting to work as usual. A Taeyoung Construction official stated, "The confirmed employee did not come to the office after the Busan trip, and no positive cases were found among employees working on the same floor as the employee's family."
