On the 12th, the two companies held a partnership agreement ceremony at Korea Yakult headquarters, attended by Kim Byung-jin, CEO of Korea Yakult, and Choi Dong-cheol, CEO of the Wadiz platform, along with other officials.
This is the first time since its founding that Korea Yakult has partnered with another company’s platform. As the importance of the online market is increasingly emphasized, the company is actively engaging in cross-industry exchanges to enhance the competitiveness of its own platform.
In particular, through collaboration with Wadiz, whose main users are Millennials and Generation Z, Korea Yakult expects to increase awareness of its online mall ‘HiFresh’ and attract younger customers. Internal opinions that win-win cooperation with startup companies leads to mutual growth also played a significant role.
Through this MOU, Korea Yakult will utilize the Wadiz platform as an untact marketing tool. Before launching new products, it will conduct sales demand forecasting and initial response surveys through the funding process. Products on Wadiz that fit the fresh and health concept will be sold directly on HiFresh to promote product category expansion.
