One Samsung C&T Partner Employee Tests Positive for COVID-19... Sangil-dong Office Shutdown
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Jiwon] One employee of a Samsung C&T partner company tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), leading to the temporary closure (shutdown) of the Samsung C&T building in Sangil-dong, Gangdong-gu, Seoul. Samsung C&T plans to conduct a full building disinfection through the weekend.
According to Samsung C&T on the 21st, one partner company employee working at the Samsung C&T building was confirmed positive for COVID-19 that morning.
Samsung C&T immediately shut down the entire building and sent all employees home except for essential personnel. Employees of Samsung Engineering and partner companies working at the Sangil-dong building also began working from home.

A Samsung C&T official stated, "We plan to disinfect the entire building through this weekend and then decide on additional measures such as remote work," adding, "employees who had close contact with the confirmed case will be able to self-quarantine and undergo testing."
