Gyeongnam Province announced on the 21st that attendees of the Gwanghwamun rally on Liberation Day and their contacts tested positive for COVID-19.
A man in his 40s living in Gimhae and a woman in her 60s living in Changwon, both confirmed to have attended the rally, tested positive, and the man’s teenage daughter also tested positive.
A woman in her 50s living in Jinju, who came into contact with a confirmed case from the Gwanghwamun rally at the Gwangmyeong Saengmyeongsu Healing Center in Gyeonggi, also tested positive.
The teenage son of a man in his 40s living in Changwon, who was confirmed positive the previous day after visiting the metropolitan area, also tested positive on the same day.
The province is tracking their movements to identify contacts.
