Guro-gu Social Economy Enterprise Support 'Social by Square' Blog Launched
Building a Marketing System for Company and Product Introduction, and Providing Various Information for Purchase
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] “Meet social enterprises in our neighborhood online!”
Guro-gu (District Mayor Lee Seong) has launched the ‘Social Buy Plaza’ Naver blog to support social economy enterprises in the area.
Guro-gu stated on the 21st, “With the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, untact (contactless) has become routine and non-face-to-face consumption trends are increasing. Accordingly, we have established an online marketing support system through the blog where you can browse products from local social enterprises at a glance and obtain purchase information.”
The Guro-gu ‘Social Buy Plaza’ blog consists of understanding social economy, introduction of Guro-gu social economy enterprises, related news, and more.
It introduces 16 social enterprises, 5 preliminary social enterprises, 4 village enterprises, 13 cooperatives, and 9 self-support enterprises, along with information such as internet addresses and contact details for purchasing.
Social economy enterprises have emerged as alternatives to various social problems such as inequality, wealth disparity, and environmental destruction. Unlike market economies that prioritize profit maximization as the highest value, these enterprises place human value above all, prioritize public interest over private gain, and engage in mutually beneficial alternative economic activities together with the local community.
