[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Songpa-gu (Mayor Park Seong-su) is recruiting the ‘2020 2nd Term Chamsari Training Center Trainees’ until August 28 to support residents' dreams of employment and entrepreneurship by providing specialized technical education.
‘Chamsari Training Center (28 Pungseong-ro, Pungnap-dong)’ is an employment and entrepreneurship support center operated by Songpa-gu since 2011.
It offers employment and entrepreneurship capacity-building education that enhances on-site responsiveness through technical training, practice and experience, and consulting for residents. Over the past year, 152 people completed the training, among whom 14 started businesses and 63 found employment.
For the 2020 2nd term Chamsari Training Center education, the district has opened courses in four fields reflecting regional characteristics and the latest trends: ▲Rice Dessert Expert ▲Coding Maker ▲Barista ▲Florist training programs.
The 2nd term courses will run for 13 weeks starting from September 14, recruiting 10 to 20 people per field. The program will comply with COVID-19 prevention guidelines and focus on practical skill enhancement through hands-on training.
The ‘Rice Dessert Expert Training Course’ will include special lectures held at the cooking studio within the cultural experimental space ‘Hosoo’ in addition to regular education. Reflecting the recently spotlighted health trends, it plans to provide various opportunities to develop differentiated menus for entrepreneurship.
The ‘Coding Maker Instructor Training Course’ is designed as an educational program that beginners, even those without a major in information and communication fields, can easily and enjoyably approach. After completion, trainees will be connected to assistant instructor roles for Coding Maker education at local schools.
Applicants are residents aiming for employment or entrepreneurship, with no age restrictions. Priority will be given to those holding relevant certifications, youth, and vulnerable groups.
Selected trainees will be offered opportunities to improve on-site responsiveness and technical skills through additional programs such as ▲field experience learning ▲internship programs ▲employment and entrepreneurship club activities, separate from the regular curriculum.
