LH Launches Large-Scale Recruitment for New Graduates and Experienced Professionals... 311 Positions Available
[Asia Economy Reporter Chunhee Lee] Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) is launching a large-scale recruitment effort to overcome employment difficulties caused by the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
On the 21st, LH announced that it will recruit a total of 311 people, including 300 new employees at grades 5 and 6, and 11 experienced employees at grade 4.
The recruitment schedule starts with the announcement on the 21st, followed by application submissions from the 28th to the 4th of next month. Then, the written exam will be held on the 27th of next month, with interviews and final selection of successful candidates taking place in November. New employees will be appointed as recruitment-type interns, and experienced employees will be appointed as probationary employees.
For new employee recruitment, grade 5 administrative positions include general administration, accounting, legal affairs, computer science, and cultural heritage fields; grade 5 technical positions include civil engineering, urban planning, landscaping, environment, transportation, architecture, mechanical, and electrical fields; grade 6 positions include administration, civil engineering, landscaping, architecture, mechanical, and electrical fields.
This grade 4 general experienced employee recruitment is the first of its kind since LH’s establishment in 2009. It will be conducted in fields requiring expertise and urgency such as overseas projects, railway planning, and big data. Those with more than 5 years of experience in related fields can apply for manager-level positions, and those with more than 2 years of experience can apply for assistant manager-level positions.
LH is raising the target ratio for hiring new employees from the previous region from 21% last year to 24% this year, and newly introducing a regional specialist system that requires mandatory work in the respective region for 5 years after joining to strengthen regional capabilities. Additionally, through separate screening, LH plans to expand socially equitable recruitment by hiring persons with disabilities and national veterans at levels of 3.4% and 6%, respectively, and by newly establishing additional document points for North Korean defectors and multicultural families.
To ensure fair recruitment without prejudice, AI interviews will be fully introduced and used as reference materials. LH will entrust recruitment suitability verification to specialized institutions and include external members in the successful candidate selection verification committee, thereby further enhancing transparency and fairness throughout the recruitment process.
Those wishing to apply for employment at LH can resolve recruitment-related questions by watching the untact recruitment briefing videos posted on LH’s YouTube account from the 24th to the 26th and participating in real-time SNS Q&A sessions. On the 27th, an expert lecture sharing interview tips and recruitment know-how will also be held at LH headquarters in Jinju, Gyeongnam.
Meanwhile, considering recent delays in various exams due to COVID-19, LH will temporarily waive foreign language score bonuses and engineer certification requirements in the document screening for grade 5 (university graduate) new employees to alleviate disadvantages for job seekers. Thorough exam site disinfection and online personality tests will be conducted, and if the COVID-19 spread continues, online interviews will be held, prioritizing the safety of applicants throughout the recruitment process.
