Gyeonggi-do Announces Public Contest for Resident Inconvenience Complaints
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province is publicly recruiting complaints from residents regarding inconveniences.
Gyeonggi Province announced on the 19th that it will hold a contest from the 20th of this month to the 18th of next month to collect "resident ideas to reduce the documents submitted by complainants and the number of visits" in order to improve inconveniences felt by residents. Ideas will be accepted online through Gyeonggi Province's Voice (vog.gg.go.kr).
Last year, the province improved 148 cases of "unreasonable complaint documents and systems" through resident idea contests and other means.
This contest will especially focus on discovering ideas to reduce in-person visits that can be converted to non-face-to-face (untact) methods online, in order to provide complaint services that meet residents' expectations in the informatization and post-COVID-19 era.
Excellent proposed ideas will be actively reflected in provincial administration and, if necessary, suggestions for system improvements will be made to the government.
The contest details include ▲ in-person complaints that can be accepted online ▲ in-person complaints that need improvement (such as duplicate visits to institutions, limited to specific regions, etc.) ▲ complaint documents that can be issued or checked online ▲ unnecessary or excessive complaint documents.
