8 COVID-19 Cases Confirmed Among U.S. Forces Korea Personnel
[Asia Economy Yang Nak-gyu, Military Specialist Reporter]The United States Forces Korea (USFK) headquarters announced on the 13th that seven USFK soldiers and one Department of Defense contract employee who recently entered Korea tested positive for the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
They arrived at Osan Air Base and Incheon International Airport between the 29th of last month and the 10th of this month, and were transferred to quarantine zones at Osan Air Base and Camp Humphreys (Pyeongtaek US military base) where they are receiving treatment.
The USFK explained that additional confirmed cases were quarantined immediately upon arrival and did not come into contact with other soldiers or local residents.

As a result, the cumulative number of COVID-19 confirmed cases related to USFK has increased to a total of 152. Among them, 128 tested positive immediately after entering Korea.
