According to Gwangju Metropolitan City on the 11th, a man in his 50s, Mr. A, residing in Woomi Apartment, Yongbong-dong, Buk-gu, Gwangju, tested positive for COVID-19 on the same day.
Mr. A showed symptoms such as abdominal pain on the 9th and visited a hospital on the 10th. All contacts at the hospital have been identified, and disinfection has been completed.
He is currently being transferred to and isolated for treatment at Chonnam National University Hospital.
Health authorities are tracing Mr. A's infection route and focusing on identifying his movements and contacts.
Meanwhile, since the second wave of COVID-19 began in Gwangju on the 27th of last month, 178 people have been confirmed positive.
