On the 10th, the KBS Joy entertainment program 'Ask Anything' featured a couple in their 20s who shared their concerns.
During the broadcast, the female client said, "My boyfriend has wanted to have a child for the past two months. I told him it’s not possible because I’m still in school, but he keeps insisting."
In response, Seo Jang-hoon asked the client’s boyfriend, "Are you talking about getting married? Or do you want to have a child first? Who do you think you are, and what ability do you have to decide to have a child?"
Hearing this, the boyfriend replied, "I see my friends around me having kids and living happily, so it looks good."
Lee Soo-geun said, "You shouldn’t make a decision impulsively," and added, "You must have dreams too, right?"
Seo Jang-hoon also said, "The moment you have a child, you’ll have to pay for your girlfriend’s tuition entirely."
When Seo Jang-hoon asked, "Do you have any savings?" the man said, "I have saved 10 million won since high school by working."
However, Lee Soo-geun explained, "You must never become an irresponsible father. If you want to have a child, you need to have a clear support plan and justification," adding, "It’s good that you want to work hard, but this is a one-sided stubbornness."
The client’s boyfriend then said, "When my girlfriend gets surprised, I say, ‘Ah, the baby almost fell,’ but giving her hope like this is just cruel."
Then Seo Jang-hoon told the client, "Don’t say things like that either. Isn’t your boyfriend acting like this because you keep talking about having a baby?" which made everyone laugh.
Seo Jang-hoon also advised the boyfriend, "Think about the situation if you end up with an unwanted pregnancy. What will happen next? You have to live as a couple, but if you have dreams and are young, your mental health will break down. You’ll fight a lot and go through life-or-death struggles."
