Dobong-gu Street Art Troupe to Hold Online Street Art Performances from August 14 to 29... Live Broadcast of Online Performances on YouTube Dobong Munyeji Channel
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Dobong-gu (Mayor Dongjin Lee) street arts troupe will hold online street art performances starting August 14.
The online cultural and artistic performance videos by the Dobong-gu street arts troupe, which have been ongoing since May, have surpassed 14,000 views thanks to the enthusiastic response from residents.
Building on this momentum, the Dobong-gu street arts troupe will hold an online performance in August at the newly established Ssangmundong cultural space ‘Gachi’.
This performance, prepared to provide performance opportunities to local artists in Dobong who are struggling due to consecutive cancellations and to support residents exhausted by COVID-19, will be conducted by genre, similar to the existing outdoor busking performances.
Starting with the Musitro Zone performance at 3 PM on August 14, a total of six performances will be presented throughout August.
The performance schedule is as follows: ▲ August 14 Musitro Zone - performance by a trot singer representing Dobong-gu ▲ August 20 7080 Zone - nostalgic 7080 music and folk songs ▲ August 21 Pure Live Zone - live performances of splendid instruments ▲ August 22 East-West Zone - harmony of Eastern and Western music ▲ August 28 Rose Zone - vibrant performances by youth and young adults ▲ August 29 Communication Zone - various genres including magic and theater, with six themed performances all starting at 3 PM.
The performances will be broadcast live in real time through the ‘Dobongmunyeji’ YouTube channel and can be viewed even after the performances end.
Mayor Dongjin Lee of Dobong-gu said, “I hope the online busking performances bring vitality and healing time to residents, and we will continuously seek support measures to revitalize local arts.”
