POSCO Donates 1 Billion KRW to Support Recovery from Heavy Rain Damage
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] On the 10th, POSCO Group donated 1 billion KRW to the National Disaster Relief Association to help residents affected by the heavy rain quickly return to their daily lives. The donation will be used to support disaster victims in the flood-affected areas.
Along with this, POSCO Group plans to dispatch employee volunteer teams to areas urgently needing assistance due to the heavy rain, to strengthen rapid recovery efforts.
In particular, focusing on the Jeonnam region, which was heavily damaged by the torrential rain, they plan to directly visit flood-affected households to assist residents urgently needing restoration of their living spaces, such as house repairs and wallpapering.
A POSCO official stated, "To help flood victims in the affected areas return to stable lives, we will explore various ways to support local communities through the ‘Change My Town’ program operated by the POSCO 1% Sharing Foundation."
