Bando Construction Donates 100 Million KRW to Aid Flood Damage Relief
[Asia Economy Reporter Donghyun Choi] Bando Construction announced on the 10th that it has donated 100 million KRW to the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association to support the prompt recovery of flood victims devastated by the recent record-breaking heavy rains centered in the central region.
The donated funds will be distributed through the National Disaster Relief Association, the official fundraising organization for the '2020 Flood Victim Assistance,' to residents in severely affected areas such as Chungcheong, Gyeonggi, and Jeolla, as well as vulnerable groups and flood victims facing economic difficulties.
Earlier, in February, Bando Construction donated 200 million KRW to minimize the damage caused by the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), and in April of last year, it also contributed 100 million KRW for recovery efforts following wildfires in Gangwon Province.
Park Hyun-il, CEO of Bando Construction, said, "It is very unfortunate that unexpected heavy rains have caused flood damage across the country. We hope that no more flood-affected areas will increase and that there will be no further damage." He added, "We hope our small contribution will help expedite the recovery process and help the lives of flood victims return to normal quickly."
