Gwangjin-gu Provides Additional Cleaning and Disinfection Support Ahead of Daycare Center Openings
Support for Cleaning and Disinfection Costs at a Total of 174 Daycare Centers... Cleaning and Disinfection Conducted to Prevent COVID-19 Spread and Food Poisoning at Daycare Centers
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gwangjin-gu (District Mayor Kim Seon-gap) will provide additional cleaning and disinfection expenses to daycare centers in the area as the daycare centers, which had been closed due to COVID-19, will reopen on the 18th.
This support is designed to ensure that infants and toddlers, who are vulnerable to infectious diseases, can stay in a safe childcare environment. The district also provided disinfection expenses to daycare centers in April to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The total number of supported daycare centers is 174, including 124 public and private daycare centers and 50 home daycare centers.
The support funds will be provided differentially according to the enrollment capacity of each daycare center. The district conducts disinfection once a month at the daycare centers, and each daycare center can autonomously choose to carry out cleaning or disinfection as needed.
For disinfection, a professional quarantine company must be selected and the procedure carried out to prevent COVID-19. For cleaning, priority should be given to hygienically vulnerable areas such as kitchens to prevent food poisoning.
Also, up to 20% of the support funds can be used to purchase disinfection supplies.

We will do our best to ensure the daycare centers are disinfected so that parents can entrust their children with peace of mind.”
