Achieved an Outcome of Securing Over 1.9 Billion Won More Compared to the First Half of Last Year
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Goheung-gun, Jeonnam announced on the 7th that it secured a total of 2.643 billion won in special grants from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety for the first half of the year.
Accordingly, not only will the financial burden on the county due to the promotion of local agenda policies and disaster safety projects be alleviated, but local agenda projects will also gain greater momentum.
Special grants are funds that compensate for special financial needs considering changes in local financial conditions, disasters, and other unexpected financial demands. They are provided for local agendas, major policies, and disaster safety needs, and are granted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety in the first and second halves of the year.
The securing of special grants for the first half of the year this time was made more meaningful as County Governor Song directly visited the Ministry of the Interior and Safety to explain the necessity and validity of local agenda projects for their prompt resolution.
The total amount of special grants secured by Goheung-gun for the first half of the year increased by 1.928 billion won compared to last year.
The major projects funded by the first half special grants include △ Construction of the Senior Health Welfare Town (Senior Welfare Center) (1 billion won) △ Support for smart services using advanced technology (600 million won) △ Support for responding to population decline and low birthrate (400 million won) △ Maintenance of Pyeongchoncheon small stream (600 million won).
