[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] On the morning of the 7th, Seong Jang-hyun, Mayor of Yongsan-gu, visited the district disaster and safety countermeasures headquarters (Disaster Headquarters) set up on the 6th floor of the district office building to check the operation status of the situation room and encourage the staff on duty.
The district has been organizing and operating the Disaster Headquarters for flood and typhoon preparedness since May, and especially since the heavy rain advisory was issued by Seoul City on July 31, public officials have been on emergency duty continuously.
As of the 7th, the water level of Hangang Bridge is 6.78m, which is below the flood advisory standard (8.5m).
Seong Jang-hyun, Mayor of Yongsan-gu, said, "The flood advisory for Hangang Bridge, which was in effect yesterday morning, has been lifted for now," and added, "We will continue to closely monitor the situation and do our best to prevent any damage in the area."
