Justice Party "The Core is Policy Line Evaluation... Hong Nam-ki and Kim Sang-jo Must Be Held Accountable"
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Cheol-eung] Kim Jong-chul, senior spokesperson of the Justice Party, commented on the resignation of the Blue House Chief of Staff and senior aides on the 7th, saying, "I evaluate this as the Blue House staff taking responsibility for the recent mismanagement in real estate and economic issues. However, from a broader perspective, it seems to have missed the core issue."
Spokesperson Kim stated, "The core is to evaluate the policy line that holds the greatest responsibility for the overall wrong policies up to now," and pointed out, "An evaluation that excludes the policy officials responsible for recent fiscal policies and real estate issues inevitably has fundamental limitations."
He added, "In the recent representative speech of the minor negotiation groups, our party's floor leader Bae Jin-kyo emphasized that responsibility should be held for the Korean New Deal, which has become a mere Green New Deal in name only, and for the errors in economic policy so far, calling for accountability from Deputy Prime Minister Hong Nam-ki and Policy Chief Kim Sang-jo. Without evaluation and accountability of the key policy officials, personnel changes will hardly gain public sympathy."

Spokesperson Kim emphasized, "This is not a voluntary action by the aides, but a time when President Moon Jae-in himself needs to make a bold decision to shift policies. I urge a bold major shift in the national policy direction."
