Hwasun-gun Provides 'Carbon Point System Incentives' to 790 Households for Energy Use Reduction
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Kim Young-gyun] Hwasun County, Jeollanam-do (Governor Gu Chung-gon) announced on the 3rd that it paid a total of 15 million KRW in carbon point incentives to 790 households that reduced their energy consumption during the second half of last year.
The carbon point system compares the average monthly energy usage over the past two years with the current usage and provides incentives corresponding to the greenhouse gas reduction rate in cash, gift certificates, or Green Card points.
Previously, the county paid incentives of 7.97 million KRW to 446 households in the second half of 2014 and 6.26 million KRW to 388 households in the second half of 2017.
Households wishing to join the carbon point system can register on the carbon point system website or apply in writing or by fax to the Environmental Division of the county office.
