[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hong Jae-hee] Iksan City, Jeonbuk, has seen an increase in citizen satisfaction with courteous administrative services as it promotes various projects to strengthen employees' courtesy capabilities.
According to the city on the 3rd, a satisfaction survey on courteous administrative services was conducted from the 1st to the 12th of last month targeting 500 civil petitioners. The overall satisfaction score was 94.32 points, showing an increase of 1.7 points compared to the second half of last year.
Additionally, the courtesy score of employees, surveyed among civil petitioners who visited departments in person, was also 94.32 points, up 1.22 points from the second half of last year.
This is evaluated as the result of selecting "realization of courteous administration" as a core pledge with the launch of the 7th local government and promoting various projects.
Earlier this year, the city established a comprehensive plan for practicing customized courteous administrative services for citizens and has been striving to establish courteous administration. It has been continuously conducting customized training for employees to strengthen their courtesy capabilities.
Along with this, the city selects employees with excellent service mindsets, supports educational programs such as obtaining instructor qualifications, and has trained seven internal courtesy specialist instructors who conduct courtesy training weekly for employees in 10 major civil petition departments.
Furthermore, to make courteous administration a daily routine for employees, related content is broadcast every morning before work starts, and cyber learning is conducted frequently.
Also, through customized courtesy training by career stage in the first and second halves of the year, new public officials receive basic education on courteous service mindset, and department heads receive training on courteous administration organizational management and leadership.
Moreover, 1,700 copies of the courteous service response manual have been produced and distributed to all employees to be used for department-specific courtesy training or new public official training guidelines. To spread a courteous atmosphere, courteous public officials are selected quarterly and encouraged.
