Operation of the 'Youth Counseling MaumTokTok' Program in Buk-gu, Gwangju
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Buk-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (District Mayor Moon In) announced on the 3rd that it will operate the ‘Youth Counseling Mind Talk Talk’ program from this month until December.
This program was prepared to help young people with various concerns such as employment, housing, and marriage to restore self-esteem and improve social skills through customized counseling.
Counseling consists of three types: psychological tests, individual counseling, and group counseling.
The psychological test is conducted through a non-face-to-face mobile test on personality, mental health, career, and learning, followed by expert interpretation counseling.
Individual counseling covers stress diagnosis and emotion coaching, with face-to-face counseling available every Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and non-face-to-face counseling available by phone or video consultation from Monday to Friday after consultation with the counselor.
In particular, group counseling with about 10 young people takes place every Thursday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., where participants share their concerns and through topic-based discussions, raise awareness of the importance of human relationships and communication, encouraging interest and participation in society.
Applicants must be young people aged 19 to 39 who live or are active in Buk-gu, and all counseling requires prior reservation through the Buk-gu Youth Center website.
