Planning Cooperative Programs Reflecting Opinions of Partners Including Small Business Owners
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Woowa Brothers, the operator of the delivery application (app) 'Baedal Minjok,' has established a new organization to strengthen communication with partnership and cooperation partners. This move comes as the government plans to enact the 'Online Platform Fairness Act' by the first half of next year and start operating a delivery platform win-win council from next month, accelerating the creation of a win-win ecosystem for delivery apps.
Woowa Brothers announced on the 3rd that, as of the 1st, they have established the 'Partnership Cooperation Office' directly under CEO Kim Beom-jun to promote mutual growth with partners from various social sectors such as associations, companies, and public institutions. The Partnership Cooperation Office will serve as Woowa Brothers' external communication channel, responsible for collecting partners' opinions, discovering and planning cooperation programs, and expanding networks between the company and partners. Under it, there are the 'Social Contribution Team' conducting social contribution activities, the 'Service Partnership Team' discovering value-centered service cooperation projects, and the 'Local Cooperation TF' cooperating and coexisting with local communities, actively practicing corporate social responsibility and creating social value.
As the head of the Partnership Cooperation organization, they recruited Executive Director Kwon Yong-gyu, who has been in charge of content and service partnerships at CJ E&M, LG Uplus, and Naver. Executive Director Kwon planned and promoted major service partnerships such as Knowledge iN, Snow, and Naver Band with government agencies, local governments, companies, and associations for 13 years at Naver, and has also carried out campaigns and win-win cooperation activities to improve social issues and enhance corporate value.
The Partnership Cooperation Office plans to actively communicate with major public institutions, local governments, and associations while expanding sales channels using the Baedal Minjok, B Mart, and Baemin Sanghoe platforms. In addition, together with Baemin Academy, they plan to provide regionally focused digital utilization education for small business owners struggling due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
