Gunsan City Provides Free Solar Power Equipment to Social Enterprises and Welfare Facilities

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hong Jae-hee] Gunsan City, Jeonbuk Province, has launched a free solar power facility support project to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and assist social enterprises and social welfare facilities facing difficulties.
On the 31st, the city announced that it held a plaque ceremony for the 'Social Enterprises and Social Welfare Facilities Solar Power Support Project' at Daebang Agricultural Cooperative Corporation, a village enterprise located in Gaejeong-myeon.
About 30 people attended the plaque ceremony, including National Assembly member Shin Young-dae, Mayor Kang Im-jun, President Cho Seong-wan of Korea Electrical Safety Corporation, Secretary-General Kim Soon-chul of the Foundation for Large and Small Business and Agriculture-Fishery Cooperation, Secretary-General Choi Young-seon of the Korea Energy Foundation, and company officials.
The 'Social Enterprises and Social Welfare Facilities Solar Power Support Project' is a project in which the Korea Electrical Safety Corporation contributed 95 million won from the Rural Coexistence Cooperation Fund, and the Korea Energy Foundation organized it to provide free solar power generation facilities to a total of five locations in the Gunsan area, including one social enterprise and four social welfare facilities.
In this project, each facility is supported with 9 kW of solar power generation equipment, totaling 45 kW, and the electricity produced is expected to save about 120,000 won per month based on a facility consuming 500 kWh per month.
