[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Dong-hoon] The National Human Rights Commission, which has been requested to conduct an ex officio investigation into the sexual harassment allegations against the late former Seoul Mayor Park Won-soon, will decide tomorrow (the 30th) whether to proceed with the investigation.
The Human Rights Commission announced on the 29th that at 10:30 a.m. on the 30th, it will place the agenda item "Resolution on Ex Officio Investigation" on the regular Standing Committee meeting and decide whether to conduct the ex officio investigation. The meeting will be held behind closed doors.
A Human Rights Commission official stated, "We will disclose the results of the resolution after the Standing Committee meeting concludes."

Previously, on the 28th, Kim Jae-ryeon, the attorney representing the victim who filed a complaint against former Mayor Park, along with women's organizations, requested an ex officio investigation from the Human Rights Commission and held a meeting with Chairperson Choi Young-ae.
