Democratic Party Gwangju Branch Holds Budget Policy Meeting
Discussion on Priority Projects and Current Issues of Local Governments Related to the 2021 Government Budget
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Democratic Party of Korea Gwangju Metropolitan City Party announced on the 9th that it will hold a budget policy consultation meeting on the 13th.
The meeting was organized to reflect the budget for early recovery of the livelihood and job economy, which has been stagnated due to COVID-19, and for balanced development through budget policy consultations with local governments in the Honam region.
Before the regular National Assembly session begins, the consultation meeting will conduct in-depth discussions on the priority projects and current issues of local governments related to the '2021 Government Budget Proposal.'
From the Democratic Party, Party Leader Lee Hae-chan and Floor Leader Kim Tae-nyeon, along with the chairpersons of the Gwangju City Party, Jeonnam Provincial Party, and Jeonbuk Provincial Party, will attend. From the Honam local governments, Gwangju Mayor Lee Yong-seop and other Honam regional heads of local governments are expected to participate.
Song Gap-seok, Chairperson of the Gwangju City Party, said, "The budget policy consultation meeting is being prepared with the intention of jointly identifying tasks that the party and government need to cooperate and focus on for the successful execution of Gwangju city administration and mutual growth between cities and provinces." He added, "It is especially important for the smooth promotion of current projects in the Gwangju area."
