Kang Hoon-sik: "Lee Hae-chan's remark 'Don't have a formal party-government meeting' is true"
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jin-young] Kang Hoon-sik, chief spokesperson of the Democratic Party of Korea, clarified the media report that Lee Hae-chan, leader of the Democratic Party, said at a closed supreme council meeting on the 3rd, "It cannot be considered a consultation when the government distributes a press release to the media in advance and then requests a party-government consultation," stating that "It is true that he said not to hold a formal party-government meeting."
On the 6th, after paying respects at the funeral hall of former Chungnam Governor Ahn Hee-jung with Leader Lee, Chief Spokesperson Kang told reporters, "After confirming with Leader Lee, he said that it is difficult to consider it a genuine party-government consultation when the government distributes a press release to the media in advance and then requests a party-government consultation."
However, he denied the claim that Presidential Chief of Staff Noh Young-min conveyed to the Blue House that he must sell his apartment in Seocho-gu, Seoul, calling it "not true."
