Creating a Pleasant Living Environment in Residential Areas, Schools, Commercial Districts, and Parks with Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Water Sprinkler Trucks
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gangnam-gu (District Mayor Jeong Soon-gyun) has added and is operating seven dedicated water cleaning vehicles for side streets since the 1st of this month to mitigate the summer heat island effect and remove fine dust.
The dedicated water cleaning vehicles for side streets are 5-ton eco-friendly compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicles, making them suitable for cleaning narrow roads such as residential areas, schools, commercial districts, parks, and sidewalks with heavy foot traffic.
The district plans to focus on removing fine dust during the summer season with 14 water cleaning vehicles operating on main roads and 10 dust suction cleaning vehicles already in service.
Seven cleaning companies, one per zone, will be responsible for operating one vehicle each, and an additional safety management cleaner will be assigned to each vehicle to prevent water splashing or safety accidents.
