One More COVID-19 Case Confirmed at KT Gwanghwamun Building... Remote Work Extended
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunwoo Lee] On the 5th, it was reported that one more employee working at KT's Gwanghwamun headquarters in Seoul tested positive for the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19). KT announced that a total of two employees have been confirmed positive so far.
The additional confirmed case was identified as a contact of an employee at the Gwanghwamun East building who tested positive on the 2nd. KT is conducting tests on about 500 employees, including 129 employees classified as contacts of the first and second confirmed cases, employees showing similar symptoms, and those wishing to be tested. All 129 contacts tested negative.

In response to the additional confirmed case, KT decided to extend the closure of the Gwanghwamun East and West buildings and the work-from-home arrangement for employees until further notice. KT stated, "We will cooperate closely with health authorities and thoroughly implement follow-up measures based on epidemiological investigation results," adding, "We prioritize the health and safety of our employees and customers and will ensure that customer services are not disrupted."
