61 New COVID-19 Cases... 3 Consecutive Days with 60s Cases for the First Time in 3 Months (Update)
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunwoo Lee] The Central Disease Control Headquarters announced on the 5th at midnight that the number of new confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in South Korea increased by 61. This marks the first time in three months since the end of April that new confirmed cases have been in the 60s for three consecutive days.
Looking at the infection routes of the new confirmed cases, 43 were locally transmitted and 18 were imported from overseas. As of now, the cumulative number of COVID-19 confirmed cases stands at 13,091, with a total of 283 deaths. There are currently 976 patients in isolation, and a total of 11,832 patients have been released from isolation.
