Turkey's 'COVID-19' New Cases Remain in the 1100s for Two Consecutive Days... 5,167 Deaths
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Saeng-hye] The number of new COVID-19 cases in Turkey has remained in the 1,100 range for two consecutive days.
On the 3rd (local time), the Turkish Ministry of Health announced that the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country increased by 1,186 from the previous day, reaching 202,084.
The daily number of new cases had dropped to around 700-800 in early last month, but after easing restrictions such as reopening restaurants and cafes, it has surpassed 1,000 again. The cumulative death toll increased by 17 from the previous day, totaling 5,167.

Fahrettin Koca, the Turkish Minister of Health, stated, "In the past 24 hours, 49,714 COVID-19 tests were conducted, bringing the total number of tests to 3,483,677." He added, "1,067 patients are receiving intensive care in the ICU, and 176,965 have recovered."
