Kordowoo Conducts 'Love Blood Donation Campaign' Led by Employees
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] Korea Dow held a blood donation campaign on the 2nd at its Jincheon plant, with employees participating to help alleviate the shortage of blood supply caused by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
This blood donation campaign was voluntarily organized under the leadership of WIN (Women’s Inclusion Network), an in-house group supporting the career development of female employees at Korea Dow, with a total of 29 Korea Dow employees and partner company personnel participating in the blood donation.
Korea Dow employees who participated in the blood donation strictly followed infectious disease prevention guidelines, including temperature checks and hand sanitization before boarding the Korean Red Cross blood donation bus, and continuously wearing masks during the donation process.
Yu Woo-jong, CEO of Korea Dow, said, “I am very grateful and find it meaningful that our employees took the initiative to carry out the blood donation campaign at a time when the blood supply available for use at the medical frontlines is significantly insufficient.”
