"Robot Delivers Chicken"... Hanwha Construction X Baedal Minjok Business Agreement
[Asia Economy Reporter Onyu Lim] Hanwha Construction and Woowa Brothers signed a 'Forena Delivery Robot Service Business Agreement' on the 2nd at Woowa Brothers' headquarters in Bangi-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul.
The indoor delivery robot service to be applied to Hanwha Construction's new residential brand 'Forena' apartment complexes works by handing over food delivered to the shared entrance to the robot, which then autonomously delivers it to the ordered household.
The delivery robot wirelessly calls the elevator, selects the floor, and determines the travel route based on pre-entered information. When the food arrives, it notifies the customer via mobile phone.
Hanwha Construction plans to remove threshold steps to allow the delivery robot to move freely and replace all swing doors with automatic doors. Additionally, they will equip the robot with a One-Pass Key to create a free movement environment.
The indoor delivery robot service will be first applied to newly built apartments at 'Forena Yeongdeungpo' in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, and is scheduled to officially start service in February next year when move-in is completed.
