Hwasun-gun and Kookmin University Sign MOU for Forest Industry and Ecotourism Development
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Young-gyun] Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Gu Chung-gon) announced on the 2nd that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for mutual cooperation to develop the forest industry and ecological tourism with Kookmin University at the small conference room of the county office.
About 10 officials, including Governor Gu Chung-gon and Kim Hyung-jin, Director of the Forest Science Professional Human Resources Development Center at Kookmin University, participated in the signing ceremony.
With this MOU, the county will cooperate with Kookmin University on all aspects of the forest industry, including ▲ developing sales channels for forest products and increasing income for forestry workers ▲ mutual collaboration and research in forest science and forestry promotion ▲ mutual exchange in forest-related education and consulting ▲ exchange of human resources and support for student field training ▲ fostering specialized human resources in forest convergence fields.
Kookmin University also presented an old map of Hwasun-hyeon, reproduced on hanji paper from a Joseon map created around 1870, to commemorate the signing of the MOU with the county.
