The Beautiful Friendship Between the Army 31st Division and Samil (31) Construction
31st Infantry Division and Samil Construction Co., Ltd. Sisterhood Agreement Signed
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yuk-bong] The 31st Infantry Division of the Army (hereinafter referred to as the 31st Division) announced on the 26th that it has formed a sisterhood alliance with Samil Construction Co., Ltd., a mid-sized construction company in the Honam region.
At the sisterhood alliance ceremony attended by about 20 personnel from both the unit and the company, including So Young-min, commander of the 31st Division, and Choi Gap-ryeol, chairman of Samil Construction, both organizations pledged to closely cooperate for the development of the local community and support the employment of young soldiers.
Based on this agreement, Samil Construction Co., Ltd. will invite exemplary soldiers from the 31st Division to provide site tours, education, and employment information.
The 31st Division will support military experience and security education for the executives and employees of Samil Construction Co., Ltd., and plans to jointly promote various programs.
Jung Geun-ho, a personnel officer (Lieutenant Colonel) who promoted this agreement, said, “Since Samil (31) Construction shares the same number as our 31st Division, I think it is a unique connection,” adding, “We will consider them as comrades of the 31st Division and create a win-win relationship that not only supports soldiers' employment but also forms a consensus on security.”
On this day, Samil Construction Co., Ltd. delivered a consolation fund of 10 million won to encourage soldiers who are devoted to regional defense, including coastal surveillance operations and COVID-19 response, in honor of the Month of Patriots and Veterans.
