Three Additional Infections Among Contacts of an 80-Year-Old Female COVID-19 Patient in Seongnam
[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] Seongnam City, Gyeonggi Province, announced on the 26th that three women in their 60s to 80s living in Dandae-dong, Sujeong-gu, and Geumgwang-dong, Jungwon-gu, tested positive for COVID-19.
They are known to be acquaintances of an 80-year-old woman (Dandae-dong, Sujeong-gu) who tested positive on the 24th. It was investigated that they shared a taxi on the 16th and 22nd or had contact at a local supermarket. Among them, one is the supermarket owner.
The son (50 years old) living with the 80-year-old woman also tested positive for COVID-19 the day before. The mother and son, along with the three newly confirmed cases on this day, are all reported to have no connection with the group outbreaks in Seongnam, such as the door-to-door sales company NBS Partners (Yatap-dong, Bundang-gu) or the Church of God (Hadaewon-dong, Jungwon-gu).
