CU Launches Nutritious Ready-to-Eat Meal Made with Duck
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] Convenience store CU has launched various duck health foods on the 25th, targeting single-person households seeking easy health-boosting meals, including the 'Deokbunae (愛) Jeongsik' lunchbox and 'Ori Deokbuni Sam' triangular gimbap.
The Deokbunae (愛) Jeongsik lunchbox is a premium lunchbox that allows customers to enjoy duck meat in various ways according to their taste. It combines tender and mild smoked duck with the fat removed and spicy duck jumulreok marinated in a special gochujang sauce. Side dishes include stir-fried king oyster mushrooms with garlic stems and seasoned acorn jelly, served with glutinous barley rice.
The Ori Deokbuni Sam triangular gimbap is filled with finely chopped duck meat mixed with tangy whole grain mustard sauce inside teriyaki fried rice.
Duck meat contains excellent components for antioxidant and anti-aging effects such as vitamins A and B, lecithin, and essential amino acids, and it is known to help improve immunity as it contains unsaturated fatty acids beneficial for vascular health.
