Phacellanthus tubiflorus Siebold & Zucc, a member of the Phacellanthus genus in the family Orobanchaceae, is a parasitic plant that lives on other plants and blooms in July.
This plant grows in high mountain areas and is known to be rarely found in Jirisan, Songnisan, and Hallasan. It is very small, about 5 to 10 cm tall, and the plant body is white or pale yellow, making it hard to notice. As a parasitic plant, it has no leaves and lacks chlorophyll.
